Woofly listens to your dog through the microphone and turns each bark into words on your device. This policy explains what happens to sound and data. The short version: nothing leaves your device, and Woofly collects no data about you.
Woofly uses the microphone only after you start live listening, and only while the app is open on screen. Audio is analyzed in memory as it arrives and discarded right after. Woofly does not record, save, or upload audio. Listening stops when you pause it, when the app goes to the background, when a call comes in, or when the microphone route changes.
The live transcript exists only while the app is open and is gone at the next launch. The one value Woofly keeps between launches is a pitch baseline for your dog: a number describing your dog's usual bark pitch, stored in the app's own folder on your device under the device's file protection. It contains no audio and identifies no one. Deleting the app deletes it.
Woofly collects no personal data, no usage data, and no diagnostics, and it has no accounts. It contains no analytics, advertising, or other third-party code, and it does not track you across apps or websites. Woofly makes no network connections of its own. The only outside links are to published research on the How-it-works screen, and they open in your browser. If you have opted in on your device, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with the developer; Woofly itself sends nothing.
Woofly is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If a future version changes what Woofly does with sound or data, this policy will be updated and the date at the top will change.
